About the Fair

Since 1991 the City Hall Crafts & Design Fair featuring The Spectacular Christmas Food Emporium has heralded the start of Christmas in Cork and it still presents a fabulous opportunity for all of our wonderful visitors to come along and get all of their Christmas shopping done in one day, under one roof.

There are thousands of unique gift items to choose from, and when all of the gifts have been bought then maybe you can find time to pick up a treat for yourself. The City Hall Crafts & Design Fair is a celebration of the best of Irish Craft and artisan food producers and we appreciate all of your support for the talented makers who take part. We will look forward to celebrating the next 25 years of this wonderful event in Cork City.

Meet some Craftworkers

Bláithín Ennis

Bláithín Ennis

Bláithín prides herself on her ability to source, manipulate and combine unusual materials from around the world to produce wearable, special and striking pieces.

The Bláithín Ennis label is affordable and beautifully designed, incorporating simple, craft driven techniques. She is based from her studio in the South East of Ireland where each piece is designed and made by hand.
Within a year of graduating from the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin, Bláithín went about setting up her own label ‘Bláithín Ennis’. Having previous industry experience with New York based designer Diane Von Furstenberg, Bláithín launched her first collection in 2012. She designs and makes couture fashion pieces, alongside her range of contemporary jewellery and stands by her ethos, “A unique accessory can give a new lease of life to the very simple garment.” Showcasing work at the City Hall Crafts & Design Fair.
Florrie Purcell from The Scullery

Florrie Purcell from The Scullery

Florrie Purcell’s business has evolved from ideas developed over the Aga as a child helping her mum, to being a successful artisan producer of relishes, pickles and Christmas Puddings.

After finishing her studies in catering college Florrie travelled and worked her way through three continents broadening both her experience, her knowledge and appreciation of world tastes.
Florrie is justifiably proud of the reputation that The Scullery has gained as a purveyor of an excellent range of sauces, pickles, relishes and Christmas Plum Puddings. They are made using exacting standards and top quality ingredients and they taste absolutely divine.
The Scullery has created a range that is totally free from artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, MSG or GM ingredients. Showcasing work at the City Hall Crafts & Design Fair .
Barbara Hall

Barbara Hall

Barbara Hall is a jeweller and artist who creates beautiful jewellery and oil paintings inspired by the sea in her workshop in Cobh. Her Passion for Jewellery shows in her work.

Barbara’s stylish jewellery is both classic and contemporary, she makes bespoke one off pieces for special occasions as well as jewellery for everyday wear. Using only the finest quality materials, Barbara is passionate about her jewellery and freshwater pearls are one of her favourite gemstones. “I love working with pearls, as an organic material – the more you wear your pearls, the more their luster grows and develops”. The Barbara Hall Jewellery Collection features necklaces, pendants, bracelets and earrings that are both stylish and affordable.
As an artist Barbara is unmistakably inspired by the West Cork coastline and the Wild Atlantic Way. From stormy seas to tranquil sunny bays to coastal harbours and paddling pools, the beauty, drama, tranquillity and ever changing nature of the Irish seascape is captured in her art. Mairi Stone

Mairi Stone

The oceans and all they hold are quite obviously a major inspiration but it is the whole of nature’s organic forms, textures and colours that influence me.
